1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information you provide — name, company or firm name, email address, phone number, and details about your project when you submit our contact form, call our office, or email us.
- Communications — the content of messages you send us, including emails, form submissions, and text messages.
- Automatically collected information — IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, pages viewed, date and time of visit, and general geographic location (city or region level).
- Cookies and tracking identifiers — see the Cookies section below.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the engineering services you request.
- Send follow-up communications by phone, email, or, if you have opted in, by text message.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- Measure marketing performance and understand how visitors find and use the Site.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to remember your preferences, measure how you interact with the Site, and support marketing. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party services we use, such as Google and Meta.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can typically block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect how the Site works.
4. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (both provided by Google LLC) to measure Site traffic and understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as IP address, device and browser characteristics, and pages visited. Google Analytics 4 does not log full IP addresses; IP data is truncated as part of Google's IP-anonymization practices before it is stored.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site by installing Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and remarketing
We may use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (including Google Ads remarketing lists and RLSA), the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and similar advertising technologies to measure the results of our advertising and to show you relevant ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and partner sites after you visit the Site.
These tools may collect:
- Pages viewed and actions taken on the Site (such as submitting a form).
- Device and browser identifiers, IP address, and general location.
- Cookie IDs and pixel identifiers used to build advertising audiences.
We do not sell your personal information. We do share limited data with these advertising platforms so we can measure ad performance and reach past visitors with our own ads. We do not knowingly upload sensitive personal information to advertising platforms.
How to opt out of interest-based advertising:
- Google Ads personalization — Google My Ad Center and Google Ads Settings.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — Facebook Ad Preferences.
- Industry-wide opt-outs — the DAA WebChoices tool, the NAI opt-out, and YourAdChoices.
- Browser-level signals — we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where legally applicable. Enabling GPC in a supported browser tells the Site not to share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. SMS text messaging (A2P 10DLC)
Consent is required. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
Pettit & Pettit uses a business messaging platform provided by HighLevel (also known as GoHighLevel) to send SMS text messages related to your inquiry and any active engineering engagement. We follow the U.S. carriers' Application-to-Person (A2P) 10DLC rules and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
Consent
We only send SMS text messages to phone numbers that have opted in. You provide consent by:
- Submitting our contact form with your phone number and a request to be contacted;
- Providing your phone number to a Pettit & Pettit team member and agreeing to be contacted by text; or
- Replying to an initial confirmation message we send to your number.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving engineering services from Pettit & Pettit. Mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Message content and frequency
Text messages may include: replies to your inquiry, appointment or meeting confirmations, project status updates, requests for information related to an active project, and, if you separately opt in, occasional service updates. Message frequency varies and depends on the nature of the exchange.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Pettit & Pettit does not charge you for text messages, but standard carrier charges from your mobile plan may still apply.
Opt out and help
You can opt out of SMS text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further text messages unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP to any text message, or contact us at 501.374.3731 or info@pettitinc.com.
Supported carriers
Wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and their affiliates, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Telephone calls and call recording
When you call our office at 501.374.3731 or we call you, we may record the call for quality assurance, training, and record-keeping purposes. If a specific call is being recorded, you will be informed at the beginning of the call. Arkansas is a one-party consent state for call recording; we still notify all parties when a call is recorded.
8. How we share information
We share personal information only in the following situations:
- Service providers that help us operate our business — for example, our website host, email provider, and the HighLevel messaging platform. These providers are bound by contract to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners, as described in the Google Analytics and Google Ads / Meta Pixel sections above.
- Legal and safety — to comply with a subpoena, court order, or applicable law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pettit & Pettit or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share SMS opt-in information or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics data may be retained longer in aggregated or de-identified form.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses of your information. To make a request, contact us at info@pettitinc.com or by postal mail at the address below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents: To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. Where applicable, we treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a professional and business audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted or communicated by other means where required.
