Pettit & Pettit Consulting Engineers

The firm

A three-generation Arkansas engineering practice.

Pettit & Pettit is a full-service MEP consulting engineering firm headquartered in downtown Little Rock. Since 1949 we've provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the state's most important institutional buildings.

Practice philosophy

Quality projects within the budget — with economy in operation and maintenance.

Our approach hasn't changed in three generations: design MEP systems that meet the owner's program, stay within the construction budget, and stay affordable to operate long after the ribbon is cut.

We hold registration as professional engineers, employ engineer interns and senior designers, and maintain LEED accreditations on staff. Roughly a third of our work is renovation and retrofit — an area where knowledge of existing construction, budgets, and long-term operating economy really matters.

We work directly with architects and construction managers, and we're comfortable in every institutional delivery method — design-bid-build, CM-at-risk, and design-build.
